The Bellevue Manila’s Café d’Asie

Buffets always give me the thrills. Who doesn’t want to feast with variety of sumptuous food and delectable desserts?

Located at Filinvest City, Alabang, Bellevue hotel boasts a signature restaurant buffet known as Café d’Asie. It has an elegant atmosphere coupled with delicious food selections and can accommodate up to 180 guests.

Dinner buffet costs P1,390 nett per head. Children 6 to 12 years old are charged half the price which is P695 nett, and kids 5 years old and below eat free of charge.

The bakers basket offers different kinds of bread best enjoyed with butter, jams and spread.

If you’re into cheese, their cheese platter will never fail you as they have decent selections to choose from. I’ve decided to indulge over blue cheese and cheddar for a start.

The salad bar is bountiful. Leafy greens and fresh vegetables are perfect for those health conscious people. One can toss up freshly made Ceasar salad on a provided wooden bowl.

Cold cuts station features plates of great tasting cured meat and fish. Feta cheese, olives and cucumber skewers are also available should one fancy a Greek salad.

Right beside the cold cuts station is the Fruit Counter. I just love how they bring colors to the table. But what I love more is the beautifully carved watermelon sitting amidst the plates. Too bad, I haven’t captured a clear photo of it. But if you’re still wondering what it looks like. See below:

Told you it’s blurry. Hahahah. o_O

A wide array of hot dishes are available in the long counter across the salad and fruit stations. Some of the hot dishes includes Potato Croquettes, Beef Satay, Chicken with Mushrooms, Pork Stew and Pan Fried Fish with Florentine Sauce. These meals are meant to be eaten with heaping bowl of rice – be it steamed or fried. I like their pineapple, seafood rice best! <3

The Beef Satay was equally impressive. Its meat is so tender and savoury. The chicken with mushrooms is just okay although I wish it would be more flavourful as it looks.

The carving station on our visit featured US Roasted Rib Eye poured with the sauce of your choice. I picked pepper corn sauce on my steak. And it’s no regret. The meat is moist, tender, oozing with flavour; I taste heaven in every bite!

The Select and Grill Station offers different fresh seafood and meat of your choice to be grilled right on the spot. I can’t help but stuff myself with shrimps.

Though limited, International cuisines such as Indian, Mongolian, Korean and Chinese are readily available. I am a fan of noodles so I’ve tried their stir-fried Mongolian noodles. I think I have mastered the combinations of what ingredients and sauce go well together. Hahahaha. Another surprisingly delicious is their spicy tuna sashimi! I simply had to return for another round. Hello gluttony!

Of course, the Bellevue experience would never be complete without a round up of their desserts.

I love their cake slices to bits that I could not help but indulge over these carb-packed treats!

To wrap things up, I ended my dining encounter with ice cream. I went crazy over their gelato counter. I had a hard time picking a couple of flavours. Although tempting, I settled with just two flavours: pistachio and chocolate. I know my limit and I do not want any leftovers on my plate.

All in all, the experience at the Café d’Asie in Bellevue Manila was great! The service is superb, they are all friendly and attentive to our needs. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for special occasions. From appetizers to main dishes, you know you’ll get value for money!
