One Way Restaurant Makati specializes in sourdough breads and European comfort food. The name is inspired by its location, they are located at the corner of one-way streets Salcedo and Benavidez in Legaspi Village, Makati. The restaurant is owned by Consul Joseph Assad of Lebanon and his friends: Louie Ysmael, Dave Vaughn, Ralph Joseph, and Fernando Ortigas. Read more about the One Way Story here.

The place gives a fine dining ambiance in black and white motif, inspired by the one way sign color scheme. The plush cushions, wine glasses, pretty table set-ups. It’s all fancy! Feeling ko nga di ako bagay sa mga ganitong lugar. Bawal maingay. Bawal malikot. Hahahaha. Operation prim and proper muna ang drama ko ngayon.
CHEF’S PATE’ PLATTER (P690). Chicken Liver & Pork terrin served with Cranberry Jam & Sourdough Bread.
The meal starts with their complimentary Sourdough Bread and Chef’s Pate’ Platter. I am not a fan of their pate but the sourdough bread served is just perfectly baked. It was love at first bite. Nice crusty bread with a delicious chewy center. The mild bitter after taste… ahhhh! Nakalimutan ko na nga picture-an e sa sobrang sarap. ◕‸◕´
CREAM OF WILD MUSHROOM SOUP (P180). In Herb Toast.
Warm up your stomachs with their soups. I ordered their best seller. And I’m telling you, it is one of the best mushroom soups I’ve ever tasted and is best paired with its sourdough bowl. I really enjoyed the nice creamy and chunky texture. Sabaw pa lang ulam na!
PAMPLONA (P270). Served with Spanish spicy Chorizo.
We’ve also tried their pasta pamplona plated on a bed of red tomato sauce with spicy chorizo. I’m not sure if it is marinara sauce, but this dish is a winner.
COQ AU VIN (P280). Served with Pilaf Rice.
My boyfriend picked Coq Au Vin for his main course. Kung bakit sa dinami-dami ng pipiliin, eto pa. Napa-google pa tuloy ako ng pronunciation nya. Hahaha. At sa mga curious pano sya basahin eto: [French kawk aw van]
Kaya everytime nasa fine dining ako (As if madalas ako nagfa-fine dine. LOL), iniiwasan ko order-in mga mahihirap basahin na menu hahahah. Okay na ko sa carbonara kahit ang gusto ko talaga e yung Aglio Olio. Wehehehe ⊙﹏⊙✿
My boyfriend finished this classic French chicken dish with wine sauce. I just took a spoonful of it.
MEDITERRANEAN PIZZA (P580). Goat Cheese, Sundried Tomato, Capsicum, Capers & Hot Salami
I love their sourdough pizza because it uses the same sourdough used in their bread. You’ll enjoy eating their thin crust capable of carrying all the toppings, no folding in half while holding a slice on one end.
The genius behind all their sourdough pizzas is consultant Jackie Chan (not the movie star.LOL) He’s a baking hobbyist for the last 15 years.
MANGO JUBILEE (P180). Mango, Orange, & Rum, fresh fruit & cream.
The crepe topped with mango, orange, rum sauce and cream has a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavor. My boyfriend didn’t like it though. So I had it all by myself. 〜(￣△￣〜) /me dancing for joy
